This is the twin of Big lump.

After putting this one and it's brother in a grow box (2012), big lump got it's deal of attention (workshop, carving, branch selection, wire, rewire). This stump got neglected in a shady part of the garden. To big to move around, i spend my sunny day with selecting and rough wiring of the main branches.

I hope to find some people to move this one and repot it in spring. After 7 years it is time... The box isn't a box anymore.

Love that muscular trunk, what a lump! not loads of branches, but with what youve done already, its looks natural and rugged to me. so much potential in this. fabulous carving project too.

Hey Dirk,

How much foliage did you leave on the trunks of these babies when digging them?

Late reply. I collected the tree in summer. All big branches removed, here and there a dot of green. The first photo's are what grew in late summer. Still need to repot and restyle this tree. The wire is still in there, i must take some time to look if i can still find it...
