I just bought this Barbados Cherry from FL about a week ago and ship it to PA/NJ area. The trunk and branches of the bonsai look really dry. Is this normal? Also, the flowers seem to die after a day or two after blooming. Some leaves are curly. Some have yellow spots. I attach some pictures of the tree. Any suggestions? Is the bonsai somewhat healthy? I mean I can see small leaves growing. Some newly grow leaves look yellow. I'm a newbie to bonsai. Any ideas or helps would be forever grateful.

I doesn't look terrible, probably just stress from shipping. They are pretty easy trees, but do not let it dry out completely, or you will lose it. Not sopping wet, but damp soil. While inside, give it as much light as you can. Once nighttime temps are consistently above 50, bring it out. Give it a few days in the shade to get it acclimated. Mine do well on the east side of my house, where they get morning sun, and some shade during the hottest part of the day. They respond very well to pruning,.
