Nursery stock beginnings on this RMJ. Needs maintenance, trimming, wiring, etc and prob some rebar to give the main trunk just a bit of movement. Enjoying some post rain morning sun.

There's nothing ugly about this tree at all. Even if in the end you do not like the way the foliage pads develop you can always take that magnificent trunk to someone who knows what they are doing and graft some Shimpaku on to it and have a kick ass tree when its done.
