The air layer on this shishigashira made the autumn colour change pretty cool! I'm guessing the interruption of chemical flow has something to do with it.

We get this short window most years. As soon as it snows again it’s over but for now entire lakes of glass. It’s amazing, really incredible, can see right through the ice to the bottom and chase the fish around, feels like flying!

Refinement! Time to study the four elements. Each and every branch a change in direction, taper, movement and length. Absence of large scars, obvious joints, discordant lines. This represents one of my favourite deciduous pictures of Bonsai! Slow and careful application of technique.
