Thank you. I thought yours would be bigger. How much sun are you giving them? I know you have a lot of projects from reading all your threads. Some of my cuttings look 2 times the height of these. Mine get a ton of sun though.

They’re in a better place now, but they were shaded part of the summer. Lots of sun is better.

Mine are about the same. I need to move them to sunnier location also. they are only getting 6-8 hours of sun each day.

You didn't wire them? I'm assuming these are your special multi-cutting seedlings with the awesome nebari, right?

Yes. These are the seedling cuttings, but I did not repeat the cutting process - I do old school single cut cuttings and leave the tricky stuff for the pros. I didn’t wire yet - this winter I’ll repot and wire at the same time.

So - buyer beware I guess. I now know that none of the seeds I purchased from myseedsco.com are NOT Mikawa. I know this because they’re NOT black pine either. They’re all red pine. Very disappointing.

Thanks for the tip. I bought a batch from Rare Exotic Seeds in the past. They were all true and I had a pretty high success rate. I’ve heard good things about Schumacher before, but they’ve been out of stock when I was looking to purchase. Hopefully I can give them a go at some point in the future.
