Hello everyone.

I just noticed this on my elm and was hoping someone could tell me what it is. I looked for bugs but couldn't find anything.

Thanks

Looks like some sort of leaf sucking insect damage, even if you don’t see them. Thrips maybe.

Also resembles peach leaf curl.It is a spore airborne in the spring only....if u have curling leaves also it is that.Affected leaves should be removed and tree put under a bright shelter so spores do not fall unto them.
was common on my zelkovas when I grew outdoors.........definately resembles it at the start anyway

What do the bottoms of those affected leaves look like? Maybe you could pluck off a couple and take good close-up pics, of the top and bottom and post. Is the damage on the top or bottom, or both, or interior of the leaf? Are there any tiny little critters hiding on the bottoms of the leaves? Do the leaves come out/emerge with those patches or do they develop later?

Haven't seen anything that looks like that on my elm.
