Soo... We have this one member, I am not naming any names to protect @Cadillactaste s' identity, who loves neagari bonsai. I would love to see your examples of this style to inspire.

I will start off. A malus from seed I am developing..

🤣 Appreciate the protection of identity. Yes...please share your neagari! I will add one little oddity of mine...I call it "Bog Monster". It's an olive in an Erin Pottery pot. Who got much hate...when it first arrived to my bench. Sort of love a tree which is controversial. The more hate for a piece...the more I smirk and find endearing.

I was hoping you would share...Thanks Adair...they never get old. You created dead wood roots in the first one? I don't recall that feature before in older images. Adds to the age of the tree for certain!
I didn’t intentionally create the deadwood. They were dead roots, but they still had bark, so they didn’t “look dead”. When the bark fell off, and the roots got a bit of lime sulfur, they really show. Does make it look older, huh?

Just got a love a tree that keeps giving back. Stunning...This is a beautiful specimen. Will be interesting to see if I can chase that foliage back on my own JBP...or if grafting will be in my future with it. Seeing how amazing they are without leggy foliage. But the bones are are there for me...Well, the roots anyways. lol Thanks for sharing.
