BALONEY. I'VE HAD AZALEAS OFF AND ON FOR YEARS AND THEY BLOOM ALMOST ANYTIME INDOORS. AND I CHECKED. OTHER PEOPLE GUARANTEE THAT THEIRS WILL BE BLOOMING WHEN THEY ARRIVE. https://www.proflowers.com/azaleas-aza

First of all, if you wanted flowers NOW, why would you order from a BONSAI NURSERY instead of from a FLORIST? Makes absolutely no sense.

Second of all, WHY DIDN'T YOU READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PLANT? ("This flowering bonsai produces blooms during the spring and possibly during the fall with the proper care") [note it is neither spring nor fall]

Third of all...ah, who cares. GO AWAY!

WELL, THAT'S YOUR OPINION WHICH I VALUE ABOUT AS NUCH AS I DO ANY REPUGNANT'S. WHEN SOMEONE ADVERTISES A BLOOMING PALNT, IT SHOULD BE BLOOMING. PERIOD. NOT MAYBE SOMEDAY. I'VE ALREADY FILLED A CHARGEBACK WITH THE BANK AND A CLAIM WITH THE BBB. THIS IS A CRUMMY COMPANY.

It's clear that YOU DID NOT READ what you were buying. YOU ARE CLEARLY IN THE WRONG HERE.

Also, the people here are not REPUGNANTS. This is a very civilized place and you came in very hot with all the anger and SHOUTING. Get a grip on yourself.

With that said, I am very sorry to hear about your sister. I've lost a couple brothers and it hurts more than words can express.

I see a lot of negative Eastern Leaf sentiment on this board, so that fact that everyone is defending them here says a lot about the OP. Yeesh.
I can stand valid criticism, backed by evidence that the buyer was wronged. This is none of that. This is an unfair complaint. The buyer had enough information available to understand what they were getting. The seller provided that info. The buyer chose to ignore it or just not inform themselves of what they were getting and then blame everyone but themselves for that oversight. This is the kind of complaint that can drive decent bonsai sellers out of the business. I've seen it happen.

This Terry guy would probably order a maple in January based on a picture taken in June and be pissed that it didn't have leaves when it came in February.
Based on Terry from Mars's logic it is what I would suspect. The depth of the hole and the idiocy of its contents keep getting deeper.

REALLY? WOULD THAT WEED CHEER YOU UP? I THINK THEY ARE DISGUSTING. I'VE COMPLAINED TO THE BBB FOR FALSE ADVERTISING.
YES, IN FACT, IT WOULD. If I'd been stuck in a hospital bed, and my recovery left me confined at home -- I would be delighted to receive a healthy plant which WOULD come into bloom in the future. Flowers are pretty in the moment -- but seeing the plant every day, observing the buds from their minute beginnings, THAT would be a gift that kept on giving. For years to come, in fact.

Step away from the keyboard. Let go of the negative feelings -- they don't do you any good, and they don't help your sister -- if I were her, I'd need you relaxed and smiling. It's the best way of taking care of her, even if there's nothing else you can do. Be positive for her. She's been through enough.

Peace.

I seriously hope you will seek professional help. You really do need it.
PERHAPS YOU GO THROUGH LIFE ACCEPTING PEOPLE CRAPPING ON YOU. ENJOY. YES, I AM ACERBIC AND OUTRAGED. WHEN SOMEONE POSTS A PICTURE OF A BLOOMING PLANT, I EXPECT A BLOOMING PLANT. YOU THINK BECAUSE THEY PUT A DISCLAIMER THAT THE WEED MAY BLOOM IN THE SPRING AND FALL THAT THAT REMOVES THEM FROM ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR SENDING WHAT IT PICTURED. IT DOESN'T. IT IMPLIES THAT THE PLANT WILL BLOOM THEN WHICH IN THE CASE OF THIS COMPANY I SERIOUSLY DOUBT IF IT EVER WILL. IF THEY WISH TO PICTURE SUCH BLOOMING PLANT THAT WILL NOT BE BLOOMING THEY SHOULD EXPLICITLY STATE "PLANT MAY NOT BE BLOOMING WHEN SENT." THE BANK HAS ALREADY REFUNDED MY MONEY.

WELL, THAT'S YOUR OPINION
Not really. The link you provided doesn't give any promise of flowers at the time of delivery. It does say:
Blooms usually last for up to two weeks, and in warm climates like the Deep South, some potted Azaleas even will then bloom again later in the fall! This means, you can send a blooming Azalea plant to a loved one anywhere in the U.S. and rest assured your lovely gift will provide long-term love!

In other words, rest assured that you will have long-term love with a plant that is able to produce flowers at certain times of the year.

BECAUSE I HAD ORDERED FROM THEM ONCE BEFORE WHEN MY DR. TOLD ME THAT HE HAD LOST 100 PATIENTS TO COVID. I SENT HIM A BLOOMING BONSAI WHICH WAS...SURPRISE...BLOOMING. SO I TRUSTED THEM. WHEN SOMEONE ADVERTISES SOMETHING IN A PICTURE THAT IS WHAT YOU SHOULD GET. I GUESS MOST OF THE PEOPLE ON THIS SITE ARE COMPLETE SUCKERS OR...OR MERELY BONSAI AFICIONADOS. I AM A CONSUMER WHO EXPECTS TO GET WHAT IS PICTURED. THE DISCLAIMER DOES NOT SAY IT MAY NOT BE BLOOMING. IT SAYS IT BLOOMS IN THE SPRING AND FALL. SO WHAT? IT DOESN'T SAY IT MAY NOT BE BLOOMING WHEN SENT. IT MIGHT BLOOM IN THE SPRING AND FALL LATER. THIS IS NOT SOMEPLACE THAT HAS PLANTS GROWING OUTSIDE. THEY ARE A NURSERY WHICH CAN MAKE THINGS BLOOM ANYTIME THEY WANT AS DEMONSTRATED BY OTHER FLORISTS. IS THAT CLEAR ENOUGH FOR YOU?

Do you know what acerbic means? Answer: "sharp and forthright". You have confused that with "lout"--which means "loud and stupid." You are about as sharp as a bowling ball...It's not our fault you don't bother reading what you're buying. At what point do you not require special assistance as an intelligent consumer? Are you the person that inspired obvious labeling for dumbasses on chain saws warning not to touch the moving chain? or not to use vanshing ink pens to sign contracts? or not to use the clothes dryer as an amusement park ride?

Why are you still here?

I swear, I think you're someone who has posted here before and you're back under a new name just to stir things up again. Are you that clown from Illinois who was posting stupid crap about the pandemic for a while? Can't remember the name but sounds very similar.

As I said before...and others have also said...GO AWAY!

Terry - Very sorry to hear about your sister. I wish her as speedy a recovery as possible. Having recently spent 6mos caring for my mother who had terminal cancer, it's easy to understand how you would be very upset in a situation where you were counting on something special to raise her spirits and it didn't meet your expectations.

I'm not sure it applies in your case but since bonsai is known from its Japanese origin - In Japan, when you want to brighten someone's stay in hospital, you only give them cut flowers. The transitory nature of the flowers is aligned with your wishes for them to only be in hospital a short time. An interesting cultural thing I learned when I lived over there and one of my inlaws were sick.

Best wishes for your sister.

I'LL MATCH MY IQ WITH YOURS ANY DAY. I'VE NEVER SCORED LESS THAN 150 AND BELONG TO MENSA. I'VE TRIED TO EXPLAIN, MORON, THAT THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING. YOU CANNOT POST A PICTURE OF SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DELIVER. SO SCREW YOU.
