Why I love pyracantha

I love the fact that pyracantha have the bright white flowers and the bright red berries at the same time. Sadly, if this one is like most of my pyracantha, it will die of fire blight soon. I think there is an infected apple tree in the neighbor's yard.

like the color of the pot...:) I have a red berry cascade. have gotten nailed a few times with unseen thorns...LOL

Barry that is so sad. Is there nothing to be done? I would talk to that neighbor if I had to....
It is a nice sight with all that going on.

Neighbor with an infected apple tree , eh? Nothing a gallon of gasoline and a midnight accidental spill would not take care of! :mad: LOL I would be seiously pised at losing a little beauty like that to a neighbors tree that is not cared for. Maybe a ninja sword at 1:00 am would be more environmentally friendly.

Cover it with mosquito net. Most fireblight is transmitted by insect and birds.
