I would imagine you are putting those soil ingredients through a screen to remove the fines. I made the mistake of not screening my turface ad it held water for way to long.

JKL is right, but if it is an elm they tend to be susceptible to leaf scorch this time of year. I purchased some shade cloth to help mine recover and it is working wonders. I hope it is that easy for you, and good luck regardless.

Strait turface here. No yellowing leaves just not opening up and a few of the younger ones dried up when the turface became a little to on the dry side. I have kept the tree in very hight humidity and it is finally starting to come back. Thanks for the input though as I will take any and all...

My hypothesis seems to be correct!:D The BRT is again starting to open its leaves! To truly use the scientific method I suppose I would need to retest my finding several times, but I will let others if they would like, as my BRT has been through enough.
