The wind took this one off the bench and broke the pot. It is probably just as well, so I can give it a little more room to run. I was impressed by the microrizae (sp?) or fuzzy white stuff in the roots. I’ve never really witnessed that before in my trees, though I have only had a few JBP.

This was barely more than a root cutting, rescued from my co-op garden, after they ripped everything out for a new planting, going on 15 years ago.

This was an early tourniquet attempt of a tree going on 15 years ago. Might have come from a parking tie or something. Past time to repot, but maybe I can sneak it in this week. Get it a little deeper for next time.
