    What do you mean slip pot? I had considered putting it in a bigger pot with some more soil-- not doing any root trimming or breaking up of the rootball, simply giving it some more soil. I had also thought about fertilizing it - but I don't want to stimulate a bunch of new growth with winter...

    I don't think that's poison ivy. Yes, the soil could use a LOT of improvement. I'm not sure there's much soil left to speak of, really. When I water it, the water just flows right through, basically. I guess I will just care for it as much as I can from now until winter. I'll probably bring it...
