I was thinking about making the large branch on the left the apex and give the tree more movement, or encourage growth of one of the middle branches and keep the apex low and broad and jin the left branch. I was also considering grafting shimpaku. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I live in inland San Diego (hot and dry). I have fairly healthy plants, but there is constant yellowing of foliage. It is not too bad now, but if left unchecked I am afraid of what might happen. I think it is a combination of to much sun, and poor soil choice for the repotting. My...
