Hello all, been busy with school and haven't been on in a while. I am looking for a willow leaf for shohin. I live in NYC and I am still a full time student, so if anyone has one thats fallen off a table and been chewed on by the dog please let me know.
Thank you
It is a long straight trunk, and definitely needs some movement. I was thinking of air layering the top off, creating a new lead on the bottom, and working on an exposed root top. It wasn't expensive at all, $12.
So I received this for Fathers Day, upon request. It seems to be handling the travel and new environment well. Anyone have any words of advice. I am not apposed to cutting anything off, or chopping it to add some movement, or putting it in to a pot to let it grow.
So I picked this up at lowes. Yes I know it has a long way to go, but I can shape an twist it to my will. I want to pull the thick one out and grow it out and make it bonsai material.
Hello everyone,
First off the tree does not stay inside, it's just easier than standing on my fire escape. So with that out of the way, thoughts, suggestions. I am kind of at a stand still.
2 cuts?
So when it is all happy and flourishing I am going to cut it low, I was also thinking of cutting off the top for a mame project. When I try to root the top do I need to defoliate it as well?
Thank you
Nice looking tree. If it were me I would cut the lower branch and take some artistic integrity on that scar and bring it down a little bit lower.
965 leaves
If you are you to shipping to Brooklyn, I might be interested in a tree.
Hello everyone,
I am interested in shohin and mame. I did a quick search online and didn't really find any info. Is there a site I can check out, or a book I can get that has quality information.
Thank you,
Joshua
