Sos!!! I am confused and panicked, help please!!!

No, I've kept it outside from the very beginning. It is exposed on 4-5 hours of morning sun then it's only shade throughout the day. I was concerned that the sun is too strong as it gets really hot here around his time of year but consulted people here and they told me it shouldn't be a problem...

"Be careful using oil on your mix with elm. I read they can react rather negatively. If you must, try it on a branch you don't mind loosing leaves on first." Dario That's what Dario told me, seems like he's heard that oil is no good, but if you have any personal experience with the spray above...

Sos!!! I am confused and panicked, help please!!!

Guys, I've had this Chinese Elm for three weeks now. It was going great the first week turning all new buds into healthy leaves. Then some of the leaves had white tiny spots appearing. It took me two weeks to realise with the help of some of you that I probably have spider mites, which makes...

White spots on leaves and yellow leaves falling. What's the problem?!

Dario, thanks! When you say two squirt dish washing liquid do you mean ANY type of washing liquid or I should be cautious about some ingredients? Also, do you think it worked? Should I go ahead spray it now? I haven't done so still as I was not at home the last few days. The bonsai looked like...

White spots on leaves and yellow leaves falling. What's the problem?!

Oh, dear!! I think you may be right! That makes a lot of sense as I saw few spider webs about 10 days ago and just removed them with hands not making much of it... I am a complete beginner and it didn't cross my mind that this may happen. There are some pretty tiny stuff on most of the...

White spots on leaves and yellow leaves falling. What's the problem?!

I have updates... All the yellow leaves have now dropped and no new ones appear so I hope to have corrected my watering problem (it seemed like it needed a bit more water than what I was giving). White/pale green dots stay but no new ones appear so I assume it was calcium deposits from the water...

Wow, thank you for the useful information and especially that part that bonsai is all about observation. I love the way you put it, I should really relax a bit and leave my trees develop and be trees as opposed to perfectly shaped fragile things :))))

A bonsai to save!! Help, please!

Hello everyone, I was given this bonsai to save for free by a lovely owner a flower shop who was afraid it will die. The tree was fine till recently, I saw it two weeks ago in the shop and it was green, it looked good but very misshapen as it hasn't been pruned for too long. We discussed...

White spots on leaves and yellow leaves falling. What's the problem?!

Hey guys, I've had this tree for two weeks now, when I got it it has recently lost all its foliage and had really many, many new buds. Consulted all of you here and was told to keep it outside and water properly. Thanks everyone for the useful tips. As you can see almost all buds have very...

Thanks a lot for the tips everyone! Here are some pics, my camera is good though I'm not great with it. Still, I hope you can see what I'm talking about. If you look closely you will notice some of the leaves, not all, have some very tiny white or may be pale green spots, hardly noticeable. They...

In need of further advice Hello everyone, I followed your advise and I put the tree outdoors on the outer side of my windowsill, which is very wide and stable, so I'm not worried about the tree falling off. I don't have a garden, so this is the best I can do in terms of outside placing. Since...

Thank you, Dario! Will read up as much as I can. Do you think the mold on the soil top you can see on the pictures is anything I should be concerned about. It was given to me this way, that's how it was in the shop...

Hello Ryan! Thank you so very much for the prompt reply. I live in Europe, Bulgaria (will update my profile, thank you!). It is really hot here this time of year and the sun is really strong. It gets up to 40C (100F). The label on the bonsai says indoor, 15C - 25C (60F - 80F), no direct...

Hello everyone, A complete beginner here. I was given a bonsai as a present and since I haven’t had any luck with them so far, I would really like this one to survive so I would much appreciate your help and advice. I’ve read the basics… again… but I still feel unprepared and intimidated. I...
