    Infestation

    Was looking over my junipers this evening, and found a colony of these little buggers on two of them... Any ideas as to what they might be? Sorry I couldn't get a better photo. Will try again tomorrow if I can get the other camera to work.

    Juniper ID

    My neighbor was kind enough to let me snag a few cuttings from an old(?) juniper she has growing by her house. It seems to be of the horizontal variety, given the height of maybe 8 inches. Any ideas? We are both at a loss as to what exactly it is.

    Lanky roots. Collection techniques?

    Up to this point, I've had about a 95% success rate recovering collected trees with severely cut back roots, and minimal feeders. Larix laricina (Tamarack) to be specific; the tough little buggers grow like weed around here and are fairly quick to recover in live Sphagnum with plenty of shade...
