Thanks! Deadwood was done by hand. Broke some of my powertools on this one in the beginning so I had to do it by hand.

    Yew project

Little update on the yew. It's alot shorter now. The lower trunk was nice however halfway up, the trunk split into multiple trunks. This gave it a bad inreverse taper. So I decided to use only one trunk and make the tree out of that. I transplanted on to some slabs too however the whole thing...

    First Tree Juniper Progression

Can i give a tip? Did you ever considered changing the angle? For example tilting it to the right just enough so the the trunk won't have straight lines going upwards. Meaning the trunk will go to the right and the upper part to the left. Then bring down the main branch closer to the trunk this...

    Cleaned up juniper.

Thanks for the compliments. @Bonsai Nut Thats the trick it looks heavy but it in fact isn't . From the all sides the pads look round and full however when viewed from above they are spread and open to let air an light come in. It is all about branch placement. No clumping up foliage to make...

Thanks guys! @LanceMac10 the owner is an older person just started out with bonsai and just buying great trees because he loves to have and look at them and can afford it. So he still has heaps to learn thats the reason why I and some other people teach him. I also maintain some of his trees as...

    Yew project

Went to my good friend and bonsai sponsor to pick up some of my trees that were still at his nursery. One of them is this fat yew. It's one of my projects for the upcoming years. The plan is to let it grow alot of branches, reduce it in size carve a lot of deadwood and from there build up a...

    Cleaned up juniper.

Today I finished cleaning up and styling a juniper from one of my customers that i would like to share. The tree was kind of neglected. It didn't have any styling or repotting done in a long while. Maybe even years. The foliage was dense, the branches were all facing upwards, even some of the...

    Old JWP

Thanks @Adair M you are absolutely right about the cold and soggy soil. It's mostly dry winds from the east here and lack of sunshine that makes it harder for people to keep them alive. Also the amount of rain we have doesn't really make it easier. However there is solution for everything. ;)

Only living project from my first year in bonsai.

well i had the well known walter pall acer in mind, small thick trunk and primary branches that make the broom. That's the reason im gonna shorten it. this year its about growth also the nebari because a tree without it isn't complete in my opinion.

Only living project from my first year in bonsai.

This is the only project I still own and lives from when I started bonsai back in 2011. Its a liquidambar tree colors are epic in fall. I've never shown it to anyone yet because it is far from perfect or even good. But I still wanted to share it. The tree was a garden tree in my dads garden and...
