    Snake for trees?

haha I agree! I guess people here find beauty in everything found in nature. Here are pics of the mother and father. The fear some people have for snakes is purely out of misunderstanding. Some cultures and people believe the snake represents wisdom. I was always creeped out by spiders...

    Bonsai forums a bad thing?

I've been on plenty of competitive video game forums and you're absolutely correct, it is a cesspool. Video games are designed for competition though which is directed towards one of the most immature audiences ever riddled with a population overflowing with insecurities and god complex...

    Bonsai forums a bad thing?

I think you nailed it right on the head. I thought these forums would be completely different but I've been seeing the reality of what it really is and certain individuals who lurk here. Immediately the Dunning-Kruger and Lake Wobegon effect came to mind. It's impossible to miss.

I heard buttermilk is a key factor for this application. I forget why but figured I would mention it if it helps.

    Where to buy moss

I've read on other forums that you can take moss and chew it up in a blender mixed with buttermilk and some distilled water. You can then take a brush and paint the paste loaded with spores on to the area that you want this moss to grow. I haven't tried this personally so I have no personal...

I haven't been on here for a while, but I'm a little surprised at this... Bonsai - These miniatures would eventually be considered garnishes decidedly to be excluded by Japanese artists who were simplifying their creations in the spirit of Zen Buddhism Zen - Zen emphasizes the attainment...

Boxwood - indoors or not indoors?

haha yea I guess I should have mentioned I would do this when the moisture readings are at 0.0, but again this has just been a thought because it could be totally off and not sure if it would be accurate enough to even help me.

Boxwood - indoors or not indoors?

I know, I see countless threads of people doing the same thing over and over. They all ask what happened to my juniper because it looks sick, everyone asks for pictures, they then post pictures and the tree is all brown or partly green and brown and sitting inside, then members chime in "indoors...

Boxwood - indoors or not indoors?

Several people have posted stating that certain sources I linked are horrible for accurate information so I'm sure you can appreciate how frustrating it is for somebody trying to break into the hobby yet nobody can agree on anything because everything is conflicted by somebody else's care...

Boxwood - indoors or not indoors?

No that doesn't sound harsh and I appreciate the response. Why though can he grow a juniper indoors however an individual like myself can not? Unless he can turn water into wine, or in this case water into fertilizer, then I will just throw in the towel. If he can't perform miracles like this...

Boxwood - indoors or not indoors?

I've been reading a lot of conflicting information about Boxwood's care and whether they can be kept indoors or not. Some claim they need a period of winter dormancy others claim its not as needed. Is winter dormancy a necessary action for the tree's survival or is it a reaction to the low...

I've been lurking on these forums, reading up as much as I can about various trees and vendors. I'm somewhat new to bonsai and still learning as much as possible but its been something I've had a great interest in since I was a kid. I'm also into keeping venomous snakes, breeding, and...
