    Barbados Cherry Care

Hello everyone, I bought my first Barbados Cherry tree a week ago and its been losing leaves almost daily. Leaves seem to be a little on the yellow side but do not appear to be wilted or dry. I checked the leaves and they all appear to be clean and in good shape. I'm currently using two CFL's...

    New Dwarf Barbados Cherry

You can probably buy one either online or at a local nursery bonsai store if you have one, because that's what I did. Mine was only $25, I'm really happy with it.

    New Dwarf Barbados Cherry

This looks pretty cool. I also bought one today with two flowers about to bloom. I heard that they are easy to take care of, which is what I'm looking for as a beginner.

From Fukien tree to a Fukien stump

I don't really have much space for those fixtures, but you are right it would be the best choice. Unfortunately my Fukien just died today, so I picked up a Barbados Cherry tree, I guess any cherry tree is easy to take care of, at least that's what the sales lady told me.

From Fukien tree to a Fukien stump

Jester, Thank you for your reply. That's what I thought, how long should I wait to repot? My light is directly over the plant for 12 hours so I'm not sure if that could be an issue. I would like to buy an LED grow light but they are too expansive.

From Fukien tree to a Fukien stump

If anything, I would get another Fukien now that I know how to take care of it....well almost...haha. One more question: should I re-pot the Fukien tree early March or should I wait a little more for it grow out? Also, two new leaves are more on the yellow side, is there anything that I'm doing...

From Fukien tree to a Fukien stump

That sound good, I will be more than happy to do some research on those types of trees.

From Fukien tree to a Fukien stump

Poink88, Thank you for your quick reply. I guess we live and we learn not to buy anything without doing a little research. I guess I always wanted to own a bonsai and I never knew that there is a lot to it than just watering it once in a while. I bought another tree "Aboricola Schefflera"...

From Fukien tree to a Fukien stump

Hello everyone, I am a beginner to the bonsai world and I need help/advise with my Fukien Tea tree. I bought it at a flee market from a person that had a huge variety of bonsai trees. He was happy to sell me the tree for $45 which he said was 15 years old. He told me to water it often and...
