Sure, its cheap, make any size you want and stain it! Just don't want the stain to kill the tree.

Has anyone made a pot out of 1x6 inch boards? Will wood stain harm the bonsai?

I put my hand under one of the foliage pads and then gave it a shake. I seen black pepper sized bugs move in the palm of my hand. Looks like it is mites. So I put some all purpose insect killer on yesterday. This morning a lot of them are dead. But I will continue to spray.

The foliage is green, I'm looking at it now on this cloudy morning.

Its not as green as the original picture, its a light green now. . Im not sure what medium it is, but the tree is healing and im seeing growth.

I'm looking into buying a J larch. This is a new species to me, What care does it need in the winter? Once dormant can it be put in the shed like a J maple?

Here's a better look at the tree now that the leaves have falling off and a lot buds have appeared. I might trim the canopy branches and wire downward making a dome shape.

Had it for a year now and growing very well. I have it in my window with plenty of light. I would like to let it grow to develop a thicker trunk. What do you guys think?
