Well boredom struck again . Took pictures of this latest brake rotor and Mugo pine creation . Also made another flat disc pot but didn't take any pictures .

Sorry no Bonsai work other than trimming some prunus . I did work on my Robot today. Still debating if I should paint it like the guy in Palm Springs , robo lights .

Plan is to use it for its head . I am going to have to really scrounge for pieces to use as the eyes etc. . Very cheesy toaster mostly plastic so it will require some engineering to attach lol

Not bonsai but I started on a robot aka robo lights Palm Springs . A ways to go yet , not bad for a few hours this afternoon .

Repotted this beast today . trimmed a bunch of root stubs etc. . Put it in a 14 x 19 box barely lol . Probably will have to visit the chiropractor this week ha ha .

My Koto hime maple . Missed my repotting window this year . I have learned to trim back all the branches at the same time on this maple or they die off . It maybe just this one as it isn't grafted it was a cutting . Love the coloration though .

Looks like our cold mornings maybe over for a bit . I didn't want to continue repots until it warmed back up . So yesterday afternoon I did a little art work for the upcoming Garden Fair in spring . Will get back to repots today .

A concord grape in another of my whacky pots .

Repotting again , 2 years ago my wife and daughter wanted to have different grapes growing than my concord . So I turned it into a pre bonsai . Bored with it so into one of my whacky pots . I realize how nice it would be to have help on a job like this . lol

After 15 or so repots lately I decided to take a break . Not bonsai related but it was fun to put together .

Repotted 3 root over rock Trident maples , into shallower pots . Also repotted this Tillia coardata into an oil pan . I have a love hate relationship with this tree . Inverse taper etc . It is growing on me though .

Potted a juniper cascade into one of my semi cascade pots . Also potted up a scot pine into one of my plow disc pots but didn't snap a photo . Tomorrow weather permitting . Very windy and wet here .

We are having some gorgeous weather today . Picked up the beast barely lol , decided to do some carving . Roughed out some shape and trimmed . Starting to like this more and more . Still a long ways to go but for me that's the fun part .

Well I potted a mugo pine in one of my pots last year . I would go around and feel the pot compared to say a mica pot and the mica pot felt hotter . Not very scientific I know lol . The tree is thriving .

I expect things to corrode and rot . Time frame ? Who knows . I do plan on looking into having a local company cnc cut some shapes and pieces out of substantially thicker metal possibly corten steel . Then I will weld them together for a more substantial pot . Thinking like 3/16 thick or so ...

At the bsop swap meet this last summer I had a few members looking at this pine . They thought it was a lodge pole . Who knows . Anyhow I decided to plant it into one of my canning pot lids . Kind of like this, nice and light too lol . I also should include a picture of my black pine I potted...

Made these pots last year from recycled warehouse lamps and scrap steel . Decided to put my Kotobuki Pines into these . Not real sure about these but they weren't in matching pots . Perhaps they will grow on me lol .
