Repotted Kishu in 1 Part Akadama, 1 Part Kanuma, 1 Part Lava

Thanks for the reply and information. Coming from you, your reassurance does provide me with peace of mind! I didn't know if I had been too complicated by using the kanuma in my mixture, when I usually just use Boon's mix. Thanks again!

Repotted Kishu in 1 Part Akadama, 1 Part Kanuma, 1 Part Lava

I just repotted my Kishu Shimpaku in 1 part Akadama, 1 part Kanuma, 1 part Lava. It was in 100% akadama. I just wanted to make sure that using the 1 part Kanuma didn't add too much acid to the soil. Is this a good soil mix, or should I repot it swapping out the Kanuma with pumice. I've...

I haven't found a lot out there on Coastal Redwoods, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is what I asked him...

    Bayer Advanced Tree & Shrub

I'm about to use the Bayer Granules for the first time. Will it hurt trees if you apply a little too much? Directions say to use 2 teaspoons for a 1 gallon container. How should I judge how much to use on small pots? Most of my trees are in pots smaller than 6". Does anyone have experience...

    Bayer spray vs granuals

@JudyB I'm about to use the Bayer Granules for the first time. How much do you use? Let's say for example, a tree in a 6" pot that is 2" deep? If I put too much, do you think it would hurt the tree? The instructions say don't let the water flush through the pot for the first 10 days...

When To Repot An Azalea After Flowering

Thanks for the advice! I did repot it a few days ago, and cut it back. @Giga had basically the same advice, with the emphasis on to think about why I was repotting it. I wanted to repot it now, so it would have better drainage. I wasn't sure when it was last repotted, and it wasn't draining...
