Where do I cut back to? Pretty straight forward just picked it up today. I plan on keeping it in the pot I bought it in for a year maybe. The guy said I needed to cut it back but did not say where. So help? Thanks :D

Picked up a trident maple, took me a while to decide on it because it's rather thick and I was not sure if it is to late for me to wire the trunk or not and its tall, about 13 or 15 inches. I want it to be shorter and over time for its trunk to get thicker. Would cutting it back a lot further...
