    Hellers Japanese Holly

    I just picked it up. I figure I need at least pne evergreen. It is in a 2.5 gallon pot. The trunk is an inch across kind of short with a bit of taper. It looks better in person. I will go a bit slower with this one. I did chop a few small limbs in the parking lot.

    I found a better one. The trunk flares where the branches start . that don't look good. I hope that is fixable. Should I do some work on it. It is starting to leaf out. I am itching to go. But don't want to set it back.

    Crape Myrtle

    This is growing in my yard. I am wanting to cut it back for this year and dig it up next year. I need advice on how low to cut it. I layered this from a Crape Myrtle that is about 20 feet tall. It's about 2.5 inches at the base.

    decomposed wood

    I see a lot of posts that say add composted bark. Would wood work. I have piles of it. I have been pileing branches up to twelve inches in a corner of the yard for years. I would have to screen it I am sure. The bark seems to have composted faster than the wood.
