Ok, I'm in Zone 8-9 on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. I've been told JWP can't make it here, although I know there are some around. I've read a lot on the Internet and in books. But, I'd like real world advice. If you're in Zone 8 or Zone 9 and have healthy JWP, please give me some pointers...

....I know, I know, they're to young to be in Bonsai pots! I just like the look and am going to let them get strong roots. These are some cutting from June. And some smaller ones.... I also took these 16 cuttings this weekend! Hope they take as well....

Ok, since I've recently started getting into Bonsai. My wife is very supportive, but she has a request of me to Bonsai a Mini Rose. I've Google'd it and found some things. Well, she brought me a pot with 4 rose bushes it it and wants me to Bonsai it! I know it won't be a REAL Bonsai for years...

Ok, I know to water when soil feels dry. Some trees will need watered more than others as well, but when should I water. In the morning or evening? I live in Biloxi, Mississippi area and I'm not sure what zone that is. I've tried to go to the link to determine my zone and I can't get it to pull...

Well, today I attemped my first layering and took some cuttings at tried them as well! Wish me luck! I used a old terrarium....the screen top was broke. So, why not since I know it will keep it humid!

My mentor gave me this today & showed me how to remove the buds. So, tonight I removed all the buds in a nice rain. It was relaxing, my wife said I'm insane. I'll get a pic tomorrow of my new baby with no pink.
