Approach graft foliage lower on the trunk. Also may jig saw the live vein away from the dead wood. Of course first things first, keeping them alive.

Common junipers from what I can tell, and they are about 5 to 6 foot tall

The land owner is a friend of a friend, so I'm not in a super rush to dig them. Success is key because he wants a pretty penny for them. I'm in Michigan and 75 year old junipers are hard to come by.

So I have the opportunity to dig multiple junipers. they are approximately 75 years old. they are a bit leggy, but what do you think, are they worth digging? has anyone had any experience digging a juniper like this? thanks nuts!
