Trees were planted early last year. They were fertilized well and allowed to grow. This spring the group is well established. I did some selective pruning and wired out most of the trunks. Now just going to let it grow again. I’ll revisit at the end of summer and see if I can set branches...

All the Madrone are doing fine. I potted up 3 more small ones this early spring. I’ve been using 1-1-1 mixture of acadama, pumice and lava. The same mix I use on my pines.
