    no there is no browning, i think it is the inside, there are parts near the trunk that are completely britle, not brown just fragile and break off with slight pressure.

    also if i did put it outside would there be anything i could do to protect the plat and its roots from it being overly cold? like covering the soil with say moss or a piece or two of burlap?

    yeah I know its an outdoor tree, i recieved it in the winter though and repotted it in the winter so i didnt want to put it outside before the roots were more founded in their new home
