    Possible seed pod ID

I always meant to dig a sucker but never got around to it and I'm pretty sure my uncle ripped the vine out once gramma went to the nursing home. Hopefully the seeds germinate, its a red one and I can give seedlings to family

    Prepping a maple for harvest?

Actually, it died before I could dig it. Next time, I'll just dig it

    Burly oak

Not sure this counts as still being in the game since all my other trees died in a heat wave. Hoping to harvest some kind of maple this spring and maybe a crab apple too. I do still have a couple juniper in pots I've not looked at in 3 years or so, really need to do something with them this...

    Burly oak

Adds a nice ambience lol. I'm not sure what kind it is but it could be bur. The tree I collected the nuts from do look like it, pretty small leaves After looking at more pics, I don't believe its a bur. All our oaks are cultivated so it could be any kind of white

Should I delete Social Media ??

I don't care for social media but I'm not particularly social either. I only have FB and its mostly to use groups and see what the kids are up to. I only have a few friends on it and don't follow any of them besides my kids, my mom, mil and hubby. I don't post besides a occasional recipe or cute...

The Houseplant Thread - what do you have?

Its here, lets hope I can keep the thing alive now. Kinda having some buyers remorse, really should have went for a lower variegation to learn with.

The Houseplant Thread - what do you have?

Lol, that is a really good price. I did over pay but I felt the guaranteed made it worth it

The Houseplant Thread - what do you have?

Its ridiculous the prices that people are willing to pay but I guess I'm right up there with them. Almost 200 for a stem cutting, I could have found cheaper but this place has a good guarantee and thats not a common thing with a etsy shop. If it rots in the mail, I'm protected.

The Houseplant Thread - what do you have?

Thanks. I've found good instructions and am making a mini greenhouse to root it in. There is a local nursery that sell veriagated plants with 3 or 4 leaves for $800+ I really don't have room for a plant like this but I'll find a corner someplace to set up grow lights for the months it can't be...

Ok peeps, I bit the bullet and bought a monstera wet stick. Anyone have experience with these or growing from wet sticks? Are they horribly finicky?

I'm starting some kumquat and my mom wants to graft a couple on a sour orange tree she has.

    Grafting citrus

When is the proper time to graft a citrus that is grown inside during the winter?

    Anyone grow finger limes?

I've never had citrus take so long to germinate. The seeds were quite dry though, sure that what a big part of the isses. Not much to show, they are pretty scrawny things. The bigger leaved seedling is a kumquat. I just planted some sweet kumquat seeds, hope the do well.

    Anyone grow finger limes?

I ended up with 4 tiny little seedlings. They are only a couple inches tall but at least they came up. Repotted into tall cups so the roots can run. Going outside soon

    Any chance at a ID?

No way one could grow here, much too cold. We are technically listed as zone 6 but when buying plants, I go for zone 4 due to extreme cold snaps we get every few years.

    Any chance at a ID?

Looking at pictures, it looks closer to a false cypress then any junipers I saw. I've not ever seen any juniper of any kind in the wilds here. Whatever this is, I suspect it its not there of its own accord. Can trees like this be spread by birds eating the seeds? Its also possible someone...

    Any chance at a ID?

I wondered about ERC myself but it just didn't quite look right. The tree was much thinner and open than pictures of RMJ but it was severely infested and growing under a large pine.

    Any chance at a ID?

Its infested with something. I had put it in a glass of water overnight and the hard balls turned jelly like.
