Hi all thought I would share a few pics of my elm now in spring 2022. 4 years in development now its amazing how much you can get them to develop.

This tree is progressing nicely

So I got carina to make me a pot for the tree and its been enjoying its new home since late Feb. Here are a few pics.

Why does 180 seem high price ? Thats about 130 quid I would say its definitely worth that. Its only pocket money for a tree that with some work would make a nice tree In The not to distant future

He is definitely English his accent is from the South. And he is using kaizen bonsai deadwood whitener (limesulpher)

I purchased some japanese blood grass imperata cylindrica rubra red baron And some baby ferns that would look ace in the green one.

Just snapped up a couple of little stone monkey pots Will use them for something fun maybe a accent planting or a Kusamono. Or I may get a bit cheeky and see if there is a nice part of my donor acer that I can airlayer and make some fun mame

If you can do it without disturbing the roots too much then do it. I live in Worcestershire in malvern and the weather is still frosty we have had 2 frosts in a row and down to -4 at 6am thismorning. Repoting should be done at the last possible minute here in the UK especially with acers wait...

She explained them in the email there both ovals and will have a similar feel to the lip and sides to the pots and feet but the main reason was to discus the glaze with me. I agree with the green/teal it's lovely and he apples are a red/orange too so will look great

Yeah its a bit crazy and if your not carful can suddenly have numerous shoots come up from all over the place lol its definitely one to check on once a day in the growing season lol But on the plus side it was easy to rework and adjust as you can guarantee a shoot will pop up where you want it too
