I was pretty surprised that I was able to get this air layer to root.
Next challenge will be getting it to survive. I wonder if I should reduce some of the foliage?
Time has got away from me lately and I was thinking I should probably cut the main leader off of this and start to repot this into smaller containers.
Any tips & advice. My plan was to cut 50% of the root ball and remove the sacrifice branch.
Every air layer I've attempted has just healed over. Hence why I just do cutting now. Sit then in water year round. The following season they are rooted and ready to do what you would like with.
I would plant it in a larger container feed heavily and let it grow for a few years atleast
