    Heat is what I suspect is causing the yellow leaves. Last year summer it wasn’t this brutal. Or at least I didn’t feel it like this one though.

    Thanks for your input Scott. Always on point. I had to remove quite a few because of sunburn. I’ll let it recover and take it from there in styling terms. But the style is already there. I guess I’ll just keep up with.

    Very nice work and interesting article ! I repotted and cut some big circular roots on this ficus a little more than a month. I’m not sure if is still a little early, or let it recover from the shock.

    Do you think this is the right time for ficus defoliation ? I have a ficus virens that I want to defoliate to reduce its leaves. Ficus virens have big leaves compared to other ficus species.

    Hello guys ! I noticed some yellow leaves in my escambrón tree and willow leaf ficus. They’re falling all over. I suspect Texas brutal afternoon sun. Hitting the 100’s last weeks. I water my escambrón tree daily. Twice a day if need it. Any thoughts ?

    I know. I thinned a little to let air and sunlight to get inside the canopy. I’m surprised how fast it’s growing up. I like the red shoots ! I’ll look into it next week. By the way, Happy Father’s Day Scott !
