    My sad day

After suffering a major heart-attack in Feb. my trees were neglected for over a month, now I think it's safe to say I lost all but one young Crepe Myrtle :( None were show worthy or extremely valuable, but they were mine nonetheless. Now I am struggling to decide whether to start again or throw...

    The Tree Thread

Just post a pic with that post and you will have it. You must post a pic with EVERY SINGLE POST. It's nothing against you or your trees, it's the rules of this thread. Now for a pic, because that is how this works. A dying juniper, I have since sacrificed it by fire.

My take on Southeast Asia bonsai vs. Japan & the West

I have always been drawn to the bonsai of SE Asia, not so much the extremes shown with googlie eyes and such, but the way they make bonsai in their own style. Lest we forget that bonsai was not originated in Japan, but the Japanese popularized it with their style. All the books and knowledge...

    A Heap of Hinokia

Vance Wood my local club has a show booth for Japan days at the end of the month. I know the standard is to repot in spring. Could I safely repot my hinoki before then?

    Growing some tridents from seed.

Do you keep the screens slightly larger than the canopy or do you let them press into the screen? Or I guess another way to ask the question; Is it the limbs curling around from the pressure or the limbs trying to find light through the grid?

    Juniper looking sick

It is definitely mites. So I saturated it with neem, and will be blasting the foliage with water every day and applying neem every 7 days until I am sure they are gone. Any other advice?

    Bunch of books

Along with the pots in my other post, I also acquired several mint to near mint bonsai books. Seeing as two of them were Naka’s, I don’t think I need the rest. Again, I want to offer them here first. Make me an offer, they will be shipping from Memphis.

    Bunch of pots

Wanted to offer them here before anywhere else. I recently acquired a bunch of random pots and trays that I don’t have space for. I don’t think any of them are anything special. I took group pics with a standard small nursery container for reference to see if there is any interest. If you see...
