Anyone using the BE app to catalog bonsai collections?

BE uploaded a big update on their app last night, with many improvements. I've been using the tool since January, and it is slowly fulfilling all my needs. Some of the improvements are listed below: Here’s what’s new: Organize your Bonsai into custom collections Add bonsai pots and...

Any Liverpool/Dublin bonsai stores to visit? Advice needed.

I am going on a short trip to Dublin-Ireland and Liverpool-England. Are there any bonsai stores in those places or nearby? I will be driving in Liverpool, but not in Dublin. Any tips are appreciated!

Sergio @MACH5 , as I have already said, I'm a big fan of your work. Amazing! ********** That below is a sad story. I got myself a big double trunk Shimpaku some years ago. As I was doing extensive deadwood work, I noticed it was full of borers. To make a long story short, after much suffering...

    The Tree Thread

Eugenia Sprengelli is a native of Brazil, often used for bonsai. This tree was gifted to me by a very good friend some three years ago, as a bush, and unfortunately I have broken the trunk in its upper third, compromising the apex. So I took some grafting tape, joined the split trunk tightly...

Anyone using the BE app to catalog bonsai collections?

Bonsai.is still bonsai for me; anything between 2 to 6 hours a day with the trees, outdoors, yes; I have a pretty strong tan by now. But on the other hand any tool that helps me keeping track of my trees, and that doesn't remotely looks like Excel, will be welcome.

Anyone using the BE app to catalog bonsai collections?

I am using the first available version of the app, and I guess it has nice features so far, like the Reminders, history, and general tips about most species used in bonsai. On the other hand, features like being able to sort the collection by species or dates, filters to show only part of the...

Clicio's 6 year JBP contest entry

Well, as we are six months behind, by being in the Southern hemisphere, here's Double Trouble today, still in the double colander. Twister is planted in the ground, so I guess it's out of the contest. I hope Doubletrouble thickens up a little before going into a bonsai pot.

    FRIDGE SIMULATING AUTUMN?

Thanks for calling me, @Lorax7 Yes, plenty of Chinese Elms around. They seem to enjoy warm weather and never get moved from the benches, winter or summer. Much easier than maples!

That "chandelier style" JBP will lose its lower needles to become jins. Yes, its trunk needs thickening up, but that will come with time.
