Hello I just scored some JWP seeds...anyone have any advice on how to grow these? I've heard that you need to do multiple cycles of warm/cold stratifcation to get these to germinate...any thoughts?

I've been attempting to grow trees from cuttings, unssuccessfuly, for three years now...I've purchased 2 different kinds of rooting hormone from lowes...one liquid and one powder...The descriptions on the products didnt list what plants the hormone is compatable with...but I tried them...

I reciently trolled a local home depot...I spied a JBP but the needles were huge (>2")...are plants with needles this big able to be reduced to look realistic for a shohin? Should they only be used for dai or should they be used at all? Are there special cultivars that bonsai enthusiasts...

What species of cherry are susceptible for leaf reduction? Ive tried Yoshino...they dont seem to reduce well...If possible I would like a species that tends to have dense blooms, and able to have it's leaves reduced. Any suggestions? I was thinking about seargent cherry....

Hello Ive been looking for japanese black pine stock...I've noticed a few sales on ebay, but they are bare root shipping...I was under the assumption that pines shouldnt ever have all of the soil removed from the root ball(some kind of needed fungus)...anyone have any helpful insight?
