    Hello

Matt, welcome to bNUT. If you're young, don't be afraid to start with seeds. You can learn alot. But, then again, I plant seeds every year and I'm in my 40's. And I plant hawthorn seeds, which is darn near crazy since they take 2 or 3 years to germinate. But I'm on my 5th year of...

Greatest/Favorite Western Bonsai Artist II - Poll

I voted Nick Lenz. I love his work and have seen several of his trees in person. But that's not why I voted for him. I love the idea of a renegade. A person who learns a craft and then moves beyond it's boundaries. I see Nick as a crotchety old man, highly opinionated, alot of foul...

ok, I will ask directly. Do you have an account on YouTube under the name, BadBoyofBonsai ? the reason i ask is because when you call a man who spent 22 of his 46 years in a front line combat unit, the last five of which in Afghanistan and Iraq..... a coward you said.... SELF EDIT I've...

bonsai pots made with dark clay, no finish

Back in my "greenware--to post or not to post" thread, I added a link to my LPS (local pottery supply) and some of the clay they make and sell. BonsaiNut said... So, I bought some dark clay (called Oregon Brown), and made some simple pots.... here they are... rectangles with in-set feet...

Making an oval pot - A potters tale

thank you very much Paul for creating this thread. It's makes a novice like me realize how much further I have to go. I learned a lot, from this thread, but it should also serves to show just how much work is involved in making a hand-made pot for people who do not make pots.

    3 pots, 3 oxides

I've been searching for my notes and I can't seem to find them. If memory serves it was either 100 or 150 grams RIO to 750ml water. But don't quote me. I'll update this when I find my notes. Another lesson learned.... I should have written it on the label right on the container I keep it...
