    The only reason you would want to do this on such a young tree is to get some low branching i would think. I did that on a seedling and have lots of low branching now i am letting it grow.

    I buy the brand called Gran-i-grit.It comes in a 50 lb bag and it's pretty cheap. I get it at Southern States as well as pumice called Dry-Stall.

    Treefrog tadpoles develop quickly often in temporary pools and puddles. I had spring peeper tadpoles and they transformed to frogs in two weeks.

    I was part of the Brandywine club and found that the members did not seem to care for a youngster like myself and seemed a bit aloof. No one was rude but I felt uncomfortable there. BTW I am in Bear Delaware.
