Material Hello....Some of the best material is not at nurseries. Its from some of the older members of the local clubs...Santa Cruz Bonsai Kai, Watsonville Bonsai or Monterey Bonsai....Check those place and see what you can find!

Your Butt Ugly Elm I think they are awesome, and when they develop their top foliage they will be great little trees! :)

This is a before picture...a lot of teachers helped me with this plant. Purchase last April as a major slant almost cascade. Mr. Kinoshita said i should buy it and stand it upright. Here is what it looked like after standing it up removing a bottom branch, and placing it in a better pot.

I was at Peter Teas house just before GSBF convention. He had one extra black pine that someone did not purchase.....lucky me!

4 years ago we purchased this 10 foot tall cheery tree, the first year termites ate so much the top 2 feet died. Second year they came back and devoured another three feet. I cut it down to what is is today and removed it from a 25 gallon pot and place it in this larger bonsai pot.....This year...

Re-potted this Cherry tree in a much smaller pot, this tree need lots of work still. An air layer will start this year as suggested by member... SMOKE!
