Gallery of some really crappy trees

Reality is, ANY 15 or 20 buck tree/plant is missing something that is extremely crucial to good bonsai and that is maturity. The spruce you showed Vance, i believe is the plant you were offered $2K for, mate you should have broke his leg so he couldn't get away, in my opinion. That's a hundred...

    Willow Leaf Ficus Cuttings--Why Can't I

Have you tried root cuttings with the nerafolia's? I seem to get 100% strike rate with them......but my growing climate here (Queensland, Australia) is probably much more suitable for them then yours. It would seem that all i have to do to strike cuttings from nerafolia is to drop a cutting on...

Long time no post.. hope this little tree fits in this topic. This is a Port Jackson fig tree. It was collected by a friend in approximately 1980 as about what resembled a thumb, i am told. It has been in a small pot ever since and only ever cut back to a small trunk. I purchased this tree...

Spot on....whatever pops ya cookies. IMO, i have seen better, but thats not to say i have seen the best one in Australia either. It is always going to be subjective, but whilst there are these claims floating around, we are being exposed to some fine quality trees regardless! All good.
