I too love the composition in the original deep pot. Traditional and rule bound it ain't but it works and that is a sign of good execution. I love it. I think in some way the pot has become part of the mountain, the colour and shape lend well to this.

You guys wanna try paying £1.15 or more per Litre, yes, per litre, here in England. It costs me over £60 to fill the tank of my ordinary little Ford Focus. Most of it is damned government taxes here, but is is going to start impacting in all sorts of areas involving travel.

I have the opposite problem. I usually work at home and have to tear myself away to do some work once in a while. Luckily I share a flat panel between my work and home computers so I can switch between with two clicks of the keyboard.

I prefer pic 3 but it might be improved by better separation between the middle pad and the top one. Is that feasible? guess it depends on where it comes off the trunk, which is not clear from the pics.

Very nice pots Boondock. Especialy the right hand one in the first post and the last one above. I love the texture too. It inspires me to pursuade my sister in law to help me make some. She is a ceramic artist but doesn't tend to make pots at all, (at the moment), she is more into one-off art...

The only bonsai where making a hash of the styling would be a positive result. I guess a stovepipe trunk would be a positive advantage It should surely be displayed in a "Toke"-anoma :D
