    Bonsai Vault forum

Thanks for the heads up Steve. It sure has been a long time a-wasting since our last Admin. left us in limbo. But I'm glad to say now that our membership is rising daily which means that with fresh blood we are getting more input and more importantly new input. It is a wonderful concept that...

My God Al that was the most courageous answer to a question I have ever read on these boards with your reply to Chub. That about encapsulates what most of us feel with regard to these socialist Governments we endure. My Daddy was an executive in the coal industry in Scotland on the electrical...

    Western Display Concepts

Ha! it is captured beautifully here Walter and an alternative to the traditional way. Both ways have merit so now we have an open window to enjoy. Many thanks for this. Ash

    Olive Progression

Healthy tree but I would like to see the right hand branch and left hand branch (lower) gone to give a line for this tree. Only my humble opinion.

    post-repotting question

I fully agree with the shade aspect on newly re-potted trees. The good news is that if your tree has already had leaf burst and you didn't get around to re-pot. Wait for two weeks to let the leaves 'harden' off then you can trim the roots and pot the tree up. I have done this on many occasions...

Bonsai Vault is hosting a Round Table with Marco Invernizzi on Saturday 13th February at 3pm EST. This is for the benefit of the greater bonsai community as the script will be published after the event. There are still a few spots available for those who wish to chat with this great Artist. As...

Marco Invernizzi's new tool - "Ichiban"

No implication or bias was intended it was merely a simple statement. What I am saying is that when Mr. Smith of Alabama starts raving on about how much he reveres his purchase of the Ichiban, then we will get a broader perspective. I would think that this tool has been carefully thought out and...

Marco Invernizzi's new tool - "Ichiban"

Quite impractical as the second hand market would prove to be loss for this enterprise. $350 is pocket change for some people. We need more customers, who are not directly linked to Marco to offer opinions on Ichiban. Only then will you get the true evaluation of this revolutionary tool. Ash :)

Will, many thanks for the prompt service you have given me. The pot arrived today, well packed and nicely presented in the box. What did you buy at the Convention?

I couldn't get myself to buy a cut stone... no idea why... I just want "found" ones... It may be the only traditionalist thing about me. Ms. Vic much applause from me on that. There is not much taste or tradition in cutting stones, it is a profit driven enterprise. As found and adapt the...

    Collecting. With or without permission?

Brett you're fighting with everyone here on this thread. Looks like it is you against the world. You are obsessed with how clever you are but all your knowledge is based on research done by others. We are getting to see the real Brett Somers now, a bully and a coward. They say empty vessels make...
