Drove to Kentucky to pick up tow trees from www.chobonsaiyamadori.com today. One for myself and another for fellow Bnutter. As the title states 12 hrs and 800+ miles later, the tree is home and the other is moving on. Cheers to the bonsai hustle.

Sweet trees, moving into some new species I see. I like your hustle, when we're they collected? Looking forward to watching what you do with them.

The Oak? Boy your pretty far north...so I imagine it moved on?

The Fir?........:confused::eek::eek::eek::eek::D:D:D:D

Let's say I appreciate the "idea" of this material......the handling dealing with the akward-ness is less appealing!;):D:D:D:D:D
Pretty awesome regardless!!:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Hey look, a pile of rocks? :rolleyes:o_O:rolleyes::cool::cool::D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Thanks everyone, the Oak is amazing in person. Extremely heavy, dense tree.

Alvaro collects some awesome trees! And his prices are probably the best online. Beautiful choices.

True wonderful Yamadori. Genuine age and perseverance very apparent;). Two of Alvaros trees reside here as well.

I also have a grey oak about the same size as the one here from Alvaro. All of his stuff is pretty amazing.

Don't know where this one is going to live, but if its North of Kentucky, pray...I've got my fingers crossed mine will make it through the winter here in Va. I'm not convinced it's cold hardy enough for a heavy winter in this zone -- but we'll see. I've also noticed the tree tends to develop fungal issues (which is what's killing the leaves on yours) in high humidity. Just observations at this point. I've been fertilizing the crap out of mine as it sulked for a month or two after I brought it back from Texas in May. It's put out strong growth since, but not all over.
