1st Open Exhibition of Bonsai in Canada

More info HERE.

Only 2.5 hrs from Rochester, NY!

Join us on the weekend of August 14-15 for a grand Bonsai Exhibition being presented by the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, Ontario. Plans are running full steam ahead for the first Exhibition of Bonsai from artists and hobbyists across the GTA, with trees from all the area clubs, many individual private collections, and some special exhibits from other parts of Canada.

For the first time, a Regional Exhibition of Bonsai in Canada will be taking place. This ancient art form has grown beyond it’s Asian roots, and is now practiced by artists and hobbyists around the world. Our exhibition will showcase over 60 world class trees, unique and unusual trees, and trees with historical significance tracing the development of Bonsai in Canada over the last 5 decades. Some of these remarkable trees are over one hundred years old. Members of many of the Bonsai clubs in Southern Ontario will be on hand to help you appreciate and understand this remarkable art form, and will be able to introduce you to the Bonsai activities in your own area.

Free with admission to the Gardens.

Doors will be open to the public from 10 am until 5pm (possibly later, as the Gardens are open until sunset). Admission to the Exhibition is included with regular Garden Admission (discounts for students and seniors).
