Went to my parents house and they wanted some help removing 2 Chinese fringe plants over New Years. Of course I wanted to take them home so we dug them up and chopped them down. Here is what they look like!

The 1st plant seems like 2 plants whose trunks fused together and look awesome! That said, I’m not sure which way I want to go with it lol

The 2nd plant has a huge base and some interesting “leader” options. I haven’t made a decision yet on this one.

Interesting score, especially the single trunk.

There’s a bag of moisture retention soil in your photograph, may be a bit concerned if you used that for potting -even more so in rainy FL..

The potting soil is super temporary until I get another 5 lb bag of Bonsai soil. I have some on order along with pond baskets.
