Finished 2 New Stands this past week.
Thought I would share.

First up a stand decorated with Flowers and bands of Chinese Motifs. With this stand I really wanted to incorporate a sense of age, as well I drew inspiration from antique Chinese Brush Pots, that were often carved of Bamboo. So, the shape is of that of a large piece of Bamboo, and I incorporated cracks as bamboo often does when it dries out.

Size: 7 inches wide x 7.5 inches tall.

Second stand is a tall cascading stand.

Size: 4.5 x 5.5 x 15.5 inches tall.

Both stands are currently up for auction on FB if anyone is interested. Also, will be a Vendor at the first upcoming US National Shohin Bonsai Show in NC. So, plan on trying to pump out quite a few really cool and unique stands, pots, and scrolls for it!

I like the second one. The first one feels a little heavy especially that "smaller" trees would be placed on top of it. The finish and detail on both are great though.

Looks good, and so does that second tree. I like the stands and the idea is renewing. How is the selling? On facebook there seems to be a mixed interest.

I like them both, did you make a video of making them?..........on your Facebook page?
Now....I have to say in regards to your post quoted above..........Come on Stacy (were you tired?)... you want isn't gratification?.. for you only waited 5 hours to post this somewhat derogatory comment.....not all of us are on here daily........I post and don't get my nickers in a knot, if I don't get any replies but lots of looks.
Cheers G

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it!
I think the response seems to be quite positive! So far I have sold all the stands I made except for one... and we will see how these two fly.

I am one of the few, if not the only person, who posts items up at Auction that makes everything they sell... and usually makes the items a couple days before. I take great pride in this and the fact that i work very hard to try and each week bring to the auctions something completely new and different. I like this... sometimes they sell, sometimes perhaps not... but, if no one tries doing this, then we all just have the same imported shit from Japan, and all our stuff looks the same.

I do have quite a few videos that will be posted up. I was sick in bed for a week running a fever of over a hundred just about every night, was brutal... so crap ' s got delayed, unfortunately. Blog as well... ran into a domain issue, where I wanted to use my original domain that I still own, but couldn't for the life of me figure out what the company was that I originally got it from and apparently even though I closed my account years ago... they still had it active and it wouldn't allow me to obtain it without going back through them and tracking them down.

Not really a big deal, other than just a pain on the butt... nothing like trying to figure out some stupid no name company you did biz one time with years ago, that was part of some bundled package by another company.

As far as my post... No Problem... I am hoping that when I do finally get my Blog up and running, I will be spending more time there, and it will alleviate a lot of the issues.
Thanks!

Good to hear you're selling out well. Just popped into my head, but have you thought about doing theme stands? Like original American stuff with totem poles for legs and viking style stuff etc.
The videos are nice btw, thanks for taking the time.
