2 years work of Cascade. Need Help!

I've owned this Chinese Fringe-flower for the past two years. Raised a sacrificial branch during those two years and its width is looking great (About 1.5cm). Re-potted it into a huge container so that it has more subsistence and nutrients to grow. Most likely I'll continue to raise the branch for another year before taking action, but plans need to be made.

Now I'm very confused as to which direction this cascade should go. John Y. Naka always says that there should be balance in every Bonsai. I initially thought of doing similar and re-wiring the sacrificial branch towards the base. But I would love to hear opinions from other Bonsai enthusiasts too.

The attached picture was before repotting. Also the Bonsai is bigger than the picture appeared, I took it from very far away.

Suggestions for next step please?

Are you set on cascade style? The tree seems to want to be something else. ;)

Thank you, but please further explain?

How so? Would you mind showing me, perhaps through a sketch?

Thank you very much for taking your time to share your imagination. I think it looks good. In fact, I like it a lot. Never really tried doing that sort of design before.

I'll look into it and see if I'd decide to change.

In the meantime, if anyone else have any suggestions. Please feel free to comment. Thank you very much

I don't see where that John Naka quote has anything to do with the plant in the picture-that is not a bonsai tree-not even close to a cascade-try another plant.

I like cascades and see them in almost any kind of tree. I'm also not so sure about the John Naka quote as I don't see normal balance in informal cascades which are the kind I prefer. Possibly the upper left branch could be made to go back to the right and develop into a formal cascade. If some do not see this as a cascade then you are an innovator and with a lot of movement added to the cascading trunk and some added to the upright trunk this could be a great tree one day.

Yup better as an informal upright. When you repot consider some root work on the big root to the right and also replant closer to the right hand side. Please share what you end up doing. Nice little tree.
