2019 Visiting Artist Workshop Schedule​


We are proud to announce the 2019 lineup of international visiting artist workshops.

All workshops start at 9am and go until 3pm unless noted otherwise. Limited to 10 participants unless otherwise noted.

Spots can be reserved by calling the nursery. Spaces are first come first served.

Saturday Jan. 12,2019- Grafting with Al Rivera, expert grafter and bonsai artist. Includes a 2 gallon partially trained San Jose Juniper, 8-10 Kishu Shimpaku scions and grafting materials. Trees can be upgraded to a older bigger juniper for an additional fee. Cost of class- $150.00



Saturday February 16,2019 Bring your own tree ( or buy one here) styling workshop with Elsa Bourdori, an amazing bonsai artist from Greece. Cost of class- $100.00



Monday February 26, 2019 Bring your own tree (or buy one here) styling workshop with Mauro Stemberger, world renowned bonsai artist from Italy. Cost of class- $125.00



Saturday March 16, 2019 Bring your own tree (or buy one here) carving workshop with Will Baddeley from the UK ,considered by many to be one of the worlds best carvers. Limited to 8 participants. Cost of class- $150.00



Saturday May 18, 2019 Bring your own tree(s) (or buy here) shohin styling workshop with Japanese Shohin master Tomohiro Masumi from Kyoto Japan. Shohin sized trees only. Cost of class- $150.00



Saturday July 20, 2019 Bring your own tree (or buy one here) styling workshop with Lillana Marcela Tello Ortiz, a super talented bonsai artist from Columbia. Cost of class- $100.00



Saturday November 16,2019 Bring your own tree (or buy one here) styling workshop with

Todd Schlafer a great American bonsai artist from Colorado. Cost of class- $125.00
