My plan
2021 April: move tree out of pot, mount it on a board, and plant it in the ground for good nebari and fast trunk growth.
2022 January: First chop and spade around board.
2023 January: Second chop, spade around board, and first wiring of low branches.
2024 January: Third chop and moved to training pot.
2025 January: Fourth chop and moved to native pot.
2025 December: Give up and drink eggnog until drunk or sick or both.

I got so busy and never got around to do anything. The tree is putting on some big growth this past month.

One unintended consequence of my collection of big honking BC stumps is that the original tree has been chopped in put in a BC forest. Now one of the BC collected stump will stand in. I just don't know which one yet. :)
