5yr native tree challenge - Leatherbacks Prunus cerasus

Took a stroll today along some typical german hedgerows between agricultural fields and noticed this strange plant which was run over, chopper down and crashed into several times. Had to bring it with me. If it survives it will become a neagari clump, as dictated by the history of the tree.

Sorry to hear that. Has it just not woken up after the winter or is there any other reason?
Woke up and died when it got hot in summer and in a span of 2-4 days it died.
Too little root re-growth is my guess

That's really sad. Have you tried the species again since then? Or have you ever seen it used around Europe? It seems to be an interesting bonsaiable species, yet I've never seen anybody working with it.
