I planted three cuttings in the garden a couple of years ago, and they had become pretty big bushes before I cut them right back last week (I know - the wrong time of year for this type of drastic pruning).

Hows it look under the soil? Mine had a crazy flare under there when I repotted it.
There isn't much in the way of root flair, unfortunately. I didn't disturb the soil immediately around the trunk, however, as it was planted in horrible clay-like soil that tends to break off small roots if you mess around with it too much. I had already reduced the roots significantly by digging it up, and didn't want to risk losing too many by trying to clean out all of the old soil. I will let it recover for a year in the pot before getting back in there for a closer look.

Have you posted a picture of yours on here somewhere?
